Fashionista Pathway Project

Design Brief

Create a luxury fashion space while responding to specific luxury labels. The location site for this project take’s place in Huddersfield’s Kingsgate shopping centre.

Considering the display, pos, showcase, lighting and colour palette. As a group decide on the stands location within the shopping centre, by product and designer or colour.

Since 1913, Prada had been known for cutting edge styles combined with concept structure and image. Prada draws inspiration from a unconventional analysis of society. Resulting in creations.

PRADA

Prada has built a distinctive brand identity by focusing on minimalist, elegant, and high-quality designs. The brand’s consistent visual identity including a signature colour and pattern, commitment to craftsmanship have allowed it differentiate itself.

Winter/ fall collection 2019

Winter/ fall collection was released September 2019 by Miuccia Prada. Keen to continue her theme of “Mary Shelley‘s gothic masterpiece“ bringing to life “The Anatomy of Romance“

  • This collection relates to its theme of romance, with equal parts of dark and picturesque. Miuccia uses harsh leather intermixed with soft ruched dresses, along with the elegant rose prints with loos-guage knits, all making the image of love.

  • Within the collection designs Prada clearly showcases all its aesthetic gestures being; lace, flowers, hearts, fairy-tale capes, and red shoes.

  • A key part of this collection i was particularly intrigued in was the use of colour and the floral theme continuously shown throughout the designs. this is also clearly shown in many of Pradas stores including “Dreamscape store” in Isetan Shinjuku.

These technical drawings were developed using AutoCAD and then taken into Photoshop to apply colour and texture.

Fashion Stand - External 3D Views

This is external view from the opposite side of the entrance, some customers may see this as the entrance as it is the front of the pop up from the rest of the shopping centre. In this view you can clearly see the PRADA logo and the products on display in this store.

This view is the pathway a customer would take to take a look inside the pop-up store. As a key focus point being the products being sold here, as there the first thing a customer will see when visiting.

To create these 3D views I made through Revit to be exported to photoshop to add to appropriate location giving the viewer a better understanding of the visuals of the design.

Fashion Stands and Showcase

The showcase is a installation piece, incorporating Prada’s and Louis Vuitton’s key design elements to create a space showcasing both brands. This installation does not sell products of either brand, simply for show to engage customers. You can see here the materials used within the design and how they relate to the individual fashion stands.
